My April 2012 goodebox has arrived and has some really great products inside for me to try.
What I really like about this box is getting products that are made to work together… getting a line of products to try is nice because many times products a re made to work better in tandem with one another. So I’m giving this box a thumbs up for sure!
This month here’s what was inside:
Look DeVine Lip Shimmer in Bordeaux - This lip gloss that contains Polyphenols & Reservatrol from wine grapes and grape seed oil. Who knew that wine could be this good for your lips!
Get Creamed Body Whipped Body Cream in Killa Vanilla - I cannot resist vanilla! This body cream is super emollient, feels a little greasy when you first put it on, but it really melts into your skin in about 15-30 seconds and feels really great!
LindaKammins Aromatherapy Salon Products
true natural Active Sunscreen SPF 40 - High performance sun protection that is clear, water resistant and won’t clog pores. USDA certified biobased product for use on face or body.
Weleda skin care
So there you have it- 8 great products picked especially for me and my beauty needs. I like that every box is given that extra special attention, it makes me feel like it’s packaged just for me!
It’s BirchBox time!
This month had a Gossip Girl theme
Here’s what was inside our May 2012 BB:
twistband skinny head band
Beauty Blender blendercleanser - a gentle soy based cleanser for the beauty blender and make up brushes
Arquiste perfume L’Etrog - a fragrance inspired by the Medieval harvest festival in Calabria Italy
Color Club nail polish in Disco Nap - a fun and funky Gold shimmer
DR Jart + Waterfuse BB cream - a 4-in-1 product: moisturizer, serum, sunscreen and skin-tint
BB extra - hugs and kisses blank note card
Here’s Lizzy sporting the ultra slim TwistBand super cute ribbon head band
I think it kinda matches her eyes! :)

Have I mentioned that I love getting these box subscriptions? It’s like Christmas all year round!
The best thing is opening up a box and seeing things that you’re beyond excited to try. Maybe because you’ve heard of a product; maybe you’ve read a review and are wanting to try it out (but don’t want to commit to buying a full sized prduct) and maybe there’s something that you would have never thought to try, and then you do… and you LOVE it.
I know that was a really long sentence, but you know what I’m talking about!

Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional - This make up primer product diminishes the appearance of pores and goes on velvety smooth. I use this product on my cheeks where I have a few large to medium pores, it really does a great job diminishing them, I put it on before my tinted moisturizer and follow with powder.
Harvey Prince Ageless Perfume - This is a pretty light fruity scent, with energizing grapefruit. I love light fruity scents.
Jouer Moisturizing Lip Gloss in BirchBox Pink - OK, when I saw this hot pink gloss I was really afraid I was going to look like a circus clown. BUT… I’m adventurous and always like to try new looks. This is such a pretty gloss that is buildable. I like to wear it sheer (one coat) and it really perks me up. I never thought I’d be wearing hot pink gloss, but thanks to BirchBox, I am now!
Orofluido Beauty Elixir - This is literally liquid gold for your hair. I love the non-greasy feeling of this elixir and I love how my hair shines when using Orofluido. A little goes a long way!
This month BB was generous and there were 2 extras in my box!
PREP ShowStoppers Designer Fashion Tape - just in time for that holiday party, the double sided tape keeps clothes perfectly in place. (no wardrobe malfunctions)
RECHARGE EBOOST - Orange Natural Energy Drink - (not pictured) I drank half of this and had energy all day long. It got me through Lizzy’s dance rehearsal and some holiday shopping!
Here’s a picture of my hair taken by my mini-me, Lizzy. This is my natural hair, no color or dye and if you see any gray, well I like to call them my “high-lights” but for almost 40 I think my natural hair color looks pretty good.
ok enough about my luxurious locks… although I kinda look like COUSIN IT ;) LOL
In my March 2012 BirchBox, I received the traditions by Nick Chavez Yucca Root Shampooing Cream. I’ve been using it for 2 weeks now and wanted post my review.
I used a little more than a quarter size of the product and followed the directions. Massage into scalp and then rinse with cool water. I didn’t do anything else but air dry my hair for the entire 2 weeks!
The product lathers pretty well, I managed to get some decent bubbles. The first week I didn’t feel the need to condition, and my hair felt soft and manageable. Week 2 I was having dreams of returning to my old ways of shampoo and conditioner, I’m not kidding.
After 2 whole weeks of washing with the traditions by Nick Chavez Yucca Root Cream Shampoo, my opinion is this: My hair feels clean and soft, but not as “silky” as I’m used to - probably why I had dreams of using conditioner! I think it’s great for either going on vacation and wanting something easy to use and transport that delivers results or for people on the go, that like a 2 in one product. I imagine if you have oily hair or scalp, this would be a great product for you to try! … HOWEVER, because I’m a wash and go girl, I don’t use other products that deliver any extra moisture to my hair, and after 2 weeks, even though my hair felt nice and manageable for me it wasn’t as silky smooth as I’m used to (maybe because it didn’t have a coat of conditioner?)
Sindulge recently launched in February 2012 and MY first Sindulge box has arrived!
I like the idea of having a team of beauty experts at my fingertips, there to answer my questions about the products I’ve received. I was unable to keep my appointment for my consultation, but next month I may put that to use ;)
